Balsamic Honey Pears with Yoghurt
Pears are given a new life in this easy but gorgeous dessert.
- Combine butter, honey, sugar, balsamic and vanilla in a saucepan and bring to the boil, stirring for 2 to 3 minutes until butter melts and sugar has dissolved.
- Add pears (sliced), turn down the heat and simmer gently for 5 minutes or until pears are just tender. Remove pears and arrange on serving plates.
- Boil the liquid for 2 minutes to reduce to a thick syrup. Pour syrup over pears and serve with yoghurt on the side.
Tip: You can peel the pears if you wish but they are quite lovely cooked in their skins.
