Chocolate name bars
|400 g||Sweetened condensed milk|
|250 g||Vanilla wine biscuits, crushed|
|1 cup||Dried apricots, chopped|
- Heat oven to 140 deg C fan bake. Grease and line a 17 x 27cm slice tin with nonstick baking paper, leaving an overhang on all sides of the tin.
- In a bowl, combine butter and sweetened condensed milk. Add the biscuit crumbs and chopped apricots, then stir well to combine. Spread mixture in prepared tin.
- Bake for 50 minutes or until golden brown and set. Remove to cool, then ice with chocolate topping. Cut into bars. Decorate by writing individual names on top with icing, if desired.
- To make chocolate topping, place chocolate and Kremelta in a bowl over a saucepan of simmering water, or microwave for a few minutes to melt. Stir until smooth, then spread over cold slice.
Tip: To make icing, put 1 1/2 cups icing sugar in a bowl with 1 tbsp egg white and 1 to 2 tbsp boiling water. Beat until combined into a stiff icing. Add a few drops of food colouring, if desired. Place icing in a piping bag and use to write kids' names on chocolate name bars.
