An interesting twist on a party classic, these chicken sausage rolls can be frozen prior to cooking. Simply thaw frozen rolls in the fridge and then bake.

Ingredients

500 g Chicken mince
½ cup Fresh breadcrumbs
1 tsp Salt
1 tsp Ground coriander
1 tsp Ground cumin
1 tsp Grated ginger
1 Red onion, finely chopped
2 Garlic cloves, finely chopped
3 sheets Butter puff pastry
1 Egg, whisked
1 Tbsp Sesame seeds

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 200C.
  2. Place chicken mince, breadcrumbs, salt, coriander, cumin, ginger, red onion and garlic in a bowl and mix well.
  3. Place a sausage shape of filling along the edge of each pastry sheet and roll, sealing the end with a little water or egg.
  4. Cut sausage rolls into 2cm to 3cm-thick slices. Brush with egg and sprinkle with sesame seeds.
  5. Place sausage rolls on a cold baking tray and cook for 15 to 20 minutes until pastry is golden and chicken cooked.
  6. Serve hot with sweet chilli sauce or chutney
