Mozzarella, figs and prosciutto
( SERVES 6 )
Sometimes it’s the simplest combinations that really wow your tastebuds – like pears with blue cheese and fresh walnuts, or these sweet, juicy figs with creamy mozzarella and salty prosciutto. If you don’t have figs you can use ripe summer tomatoes instead. Serve with crusty bread or bruschetta as a starter or light meal.
- Arrange mozzarella, figs and prosciutto or parma ham on a serving platter or individual plates.
- Drizzle with a little olive oil and vincotto or balsamic glaze, scatter with basil leaves and season with salt and pepper.
