Feijoa and apple crumble

4.5 / 5 FROM 2

This recipe I concocted, as I love experimenting with food, and the end result is flavorsome!

Ingredients

4 slices Gala apples, Peel the apples, slice and place in boiling water for five minutes.
20 scoops Feijoas, Slice the feijoas, scoop the pulp out and add to the pot with the apples.
2 large handfuls Frozen blueberries, When apples and feijoa is ready, place into a shallow glass dish, and sprinkle the blueberries over the top.

Crumble topping

0.3 cup Organic natural sugar, Empty sugar into a medium sized bowl.
½ cup Flour, Add the flour to the bowl with the sugar.
1 cup Rolled oats, Mix the oats in with the other ingredients in the bowl.
100 g Unsalted butter, Melt the butter on a dish, or small cereal plate, in the microwave to melt it partially. Add this to the dry ingredients, and mix with your fingers. The mixture should feel like it's sticking together, if not add more butter. If you have a sweet tooth, add more sugar.

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 210 fanbake, or 220 normal bake. Bake for 30-40 minutes, until crumble on top is golden and firm to the touch.
  2. When ready place on wooden board to cool slightly, and scoop out onto plates with a scoop of french vanilla ice-cream.
