Break out the barbie, it’s time for tomato ketchup
After taking responsibly for my health I wondered if it was possible to make a ketchup that was still decadent and delicious without white sugar. After a lot of experimentation I developed a ketchup that is sweetened only by vegetables. It’s been available now for a year, kids love it and it makes me enormously proud that in a small way I might’ve been able to impact on people’s health. I’ve added a smoked chipotle ketchup, again sweetened by vegetables. Not only is it delicious as a ketchup but you can also use it to make the sauce below and of course try the ribs. Try adding the ketchups to good quality mayonnaise to use as a dipping sauce for prawns.
This is fantastic with chicken and pork as well.
Summer’s coming so get out the newspaper, greaseproof paper, lots of napkins and cook up a pile of ribs to serve with lashings of fresh herbs and lemon and get messy.
